It's "the Beaches" NOT "the Beach".

"In early 2006 the local Beaches Business Improvement Area voted to place "The Beach" on signs slated to appear on new lampposts over the summer, but local outcry caused them to rescind that decision.[3] The Beaches Business Improvement Area board subsequently held a poll (online, in person and by ballot) in April 2006 to determine whether the new street signs would be designated "The Beach" or "The Beaches", and 58% of participants selected "The Beach" as the name to appear on the signs."

Sure, but "The Beach" doesn't do justice to the obvious paranormal delineations between each of the beaches in East Toronto. Balmy Beach is a favourite vampyre haunt, but you'll see few of these, say, at Kew Beach. And Ashbridges is really the domain of Zombies, while Kew is usually more associated with ghosts, if you believe the reports of Robinson and Withers back in '98. Which I do. So it really should be called "The Beaches"
